Mankato has a small Jewish community (a handful of Jews but no synagogue).
We try to get together several times a year for holiday celebrations,
most recently at Hanukkah.

This Fall we took a tour of Eastern Europe: four days in Prague followed by a river boat on the Danube from Budapest to Bucharest.

This Spring we took a tour of the Dordogne in southwestern France,  with stops on the way back in Bordeaux and London
(as long as we've got to change planes someplace, we  might as well spend a few days).

Last year we took a trip to Australia and New Zealand (another Behavior Analysis conference ;-). 

This is a picture of Kata Tjuda (AKA the Olgas); a spectacular mountain formation near Ayers Rock in central Australia.

We took a trip to Brasil a few years ago, visiting the cities of Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Campinas -- a high-tech center outside of Sao Paulo where I had a conference.
