Military instructor -----> Civilian teacher
In December 1968, I was discharged (honorably) from active duty with the Navy. I was fortunate enough to find a teaching position at Sleepy Eye Public School (MN) in the middle of the academic school year.
January 1969 - June 1970
I began my civilian teaching career teaching the subjects of Biology to 10th graders and Life Science to 7th graders at Sleepy Eye Public School.
The Joys of Teaching
Although my teaching career at Sleepy Eye Public School was short-lived, I met many young people there who have enriched my life. Some of our paths have crossed again at later times in our lives. For those moments, I am especially happy.
