Macintosh Email Configuration For Outlook Express 5.0
This online manual will guide you through adding your HickoryTech email address(es) to Outlook Express 5.0 for Macintosh.
To Begin, Open Outlook Express. You may have an icon on your desktop, or it may be located on your Hard Drive.

- Click the Tools menu at the top of the window

- Click the New button and select MAIL
- Your screen may be empty under the Mail tab

- Enter your name in the Display Name box
- Click The Right Facing Arrow

- Enter your HickoryTech email address in the E-mail address box. Your email address can be found on your User Information sheet
- Click The Right Facing Arrow

- Be sure that POP is selected next to "my incoming mail server is a(n) _ server"
- In the Incoming Mail box, enter: pop.hickorytech.net
- In the Outgoing Mail box, enter: smtp.hickorytech.net
- Click The Right Facing Arrow

- In the Account ID box, enter your login name. Your login name can be found on the User Information sheet
- Put a check next to Save Password if there is not already
- In the Password box, enter your password. The password can also be found on the User Information Sheet
- Click The Right Facing Arrow

- Next to the Account name box, enter your Email Address
- This completes setup of your HickoryTech email address
- If you wish to add another email address using the same inbox, return to the beginning and repeat for the next email address
